Day 15 on Captiva

Sat, Feb 16
Cloudy and cool this am.  We had chicken sandwiches for lunch.  I worked on some cards this am and then we went in to Sanibel for the Arts and Crafts Show around noon. There were over 100 juried artists and craftsmen from all over the country showing their wares at the Fair this year.  The Sanibel-Captiva Rotary Club sponsors this event on grounds of the Sanibel Community House. It is a fun place to be even though we did not buy anything this year.

We shopped at Jerry's for groceries for the next few days.  Just as we arrived at the house, it began to rain again ....the winds were quite strong.
Al grilled again for dinner.  This time he prepared delicious lamb loin chops that we served with rice pilaf and Caeser salad.  For dessert we had key lime cups frpm Jerry's.  We dined inside as it was too windy and cool to sit outside.....must be in the 50's.

Day 14 on Captiva

Today we attended the Arts and Crafts Fair  in Sanibel....over 100 vendors of art, pottery, jewerly, and more exhibited their wares. We bought some pottery to match some pieces that we bought last year from Carol Kohnke of St.Petersburg. We also purchased an etching of a Kingfisher by Bob Lafferandre from Port St. Lucie.  The show this year seemed to have more and much better artists than last year.

We then had a late lunch at Doc Ford's having fried calamari served with a tangy cocktail sauce  and     fresh fried grouper sandwich served with tartar sauce on a whole wheat bun  and fries.

Since we had such a late lunch, we had a light dinner - I cooked a frozen dinner of Bertolli's Pasta with Shrimp.
