Off to Captiva Island

Today, we begin the trip to Captiva Island.  Our timing seems to be perfect because it is just beginning to snow. We left at 8:30 am. The car was loaded on Wed.    Al is sick with cold...so I did most of the driving.  It  snowed all the way to Cincinnati   and then it cleared off to be a sunny day. We  arrived at my sister Cecilia about 6 pm....her house is all decorated for Valentine's. She had snacks of grapes, chips and dip waiting......we had dinner at Aubrey's.  I had tomato basil pasta with grilled chicken with bowtie pasta. Cecilia had fish and chips lightly battered fried cuts of North Atlantic haddock with thick cut potato chips.  Al had Caesar Salad andhalf a corned beef sandwich. We had a fun dinner with a lot of laughter and sharing our dinners. Food and service was very good.  We turned in early to rest up for our trip tomorrow.
