Happy Valentine's Day
Today began with a lot of Valentines being exchanged. Al spends so much time selecting the perfect cards and ones with such lovely embellishments and interesting designs. Of course he gets the handmade ones by Theresa's Studio. It was raining all night and rained almost non stopped all day. Florida needs the rain....especially in the wildlife areas and tracts. We have never seen the water so low as in Bailey Tract. We ended up with at least 2 inches of rain by the end of the day.
Today, I caught up with this blog writing entries for the past 5 days. Al has been spent most of the day on the porch.....reading and on the computer. He also did some laundry while I blogged. I did take advantage of the weather and edited some photos and made some cards too. No sun or beach time today.
For lunch, I made some BLT sandwiches and clam chowder (can).
For dinner, Al grilled the best beef filets for Valentine Dinner.....perfectly done! I prepared risotto from a box but grated fresh Parmesan cheese for the topping and sauteed fresh baby portobello mushrooms for our sides. This was served with fresh green salad and balsamic vinaigrette. We enjoyed some of our favorite wines....Al had Villa Antonori Toscana and I had Pouilly Fouisse.
We enjoyed spending Valentine's Day alone and together on a very rainy day.

I enjoyed catching up with the meals, shopping and weather! Sounds like you had a lovely Valentines day!
An inch of snow arrived last evening and covered all of the bulbs that are coming up. I don't remember the daffodills being up so high this early. It has been nice to see the green grass every now and then. Really has been pretty quiet here.
Will be heading down to Tom's sisters next week. Enjoy the sand and shells for me.
