I have some pictures that were made on a quick drive through Ding Darling on our way back from the Farmer's Market and breakfast Sunday.
The sky was overcast and temps were cool so not many birds were seen except White Pelicans and others on the islands and nestled in the trees. But we did spot a Yellow-Crowned Night Heron.
We have been visiting Captiva Island for a number of years and have found it to be a most fun and relaxing place. We started coming one week in February and one week in September many years ago and have added more weeks since we retired. We started visiting in the winter
for 6 weeks at a time but our last trip was in 2019.
