Day 10 on Captiva

Back to warmer temperatures and sunny skies today.  After a lunch of turkey and cheese sandwiches, we headed to the beach for the afternoon watching the waves and dolphins.

We returned to the new Doc Ford's in Captiva for dinner and dined outdoors on the veranda. We shared another order of fresh oysters on the half shell which are so good and huge in size.  Al had
Island Style Shrimp & Grits-fresh Gulf shrimp dusted with masa (Mexican com flour), pan seared and served with jalapeno cheese grits, julienne veggies and green beans accented with a grilled vegetable sofrito sauce. I had a  Lime Panko Crusted Fish Sandwich-baked and served‏ on a whole wheat bun, topped with house slaw and spicy remoulade.  Dinner was very enjoyable and a nice end to a beautiful island day.
