Day 38 on Captiva

Monday! Monday! so good to me
Monday morning, it was all I hoped it would be.....

Another beautiful Monday morning....Al went to Sanibel for his massage around 10am and I drank coffee and worked on this blog.   Had a lot of photos to get ready to post.

I had egg salad sandwiches waiting for lunch when Al got home which we ate on the porch.  It is a hot one today....we went to the pool for a dip and some sun but the water was almost too cold and we headed  to the beach.  Same group of willets were waiting for us but no pictures today.

After having gin 'n' tonics on the porch, we drove to DDWR for the 7:30 sunset with the birds. We were not sure if it would be a good night since there were some dark clouds hanging around.  But it turned to be a good choice to go  except it was a bit buggy and our repellant did not work very well.  It was worth the discomfort as it was a glorious sunset.

On the other side of the road is a rookery of gathering birds for the night:

Back home for a late dinner.  Al pan fried snapper while I prepared arugula salad and an orange soy sauce for the fish.  Enjoyed with hot roll and wine.  Good ending for a great day!
