Day 9 Captiva

Protea-photo from web
Super Bowl Sunday

Today, we had breakfast at Sanibel Cafe.....Al had French Toast and I had eggs Benedict served with fruit. Another great breakfast but was very busy being a Sunday morning. Then we shopped at Jerry's for some wine, cheese, and crackers to take to the Super Bowl party. Stopped at Farmer's Market that is held on Sunday morn at the City Hall area. Lot of vendors with wide assortment of merchandise....was almost time to start closing  when we arrived at 1:00.  Bought a protea at the flower stall. Cloudy and overcast today. Spent afternoon being lazy.

Went over to Rene and Margarethe for dinner and Super Bowl with his family Mirella, Rene IV,and Maxime. Rene fried fish that he had caught in the bay. Served with bean salad, rapini, and green salad. For dessert, we had birthday cake baked by Margarethe.....cake was for Mirella who celebrated being 16 on Saturday. Enjoyed watching the game and ads on projector screen that was 8ft by 10ft. Fun evening spent with the family as well as Rene's mother, Ella, and his aunt, Agnes.
And everyone knows the end of the game....won by the Packers.
