Day 13 on Captiva

Today began early with walking the beach shortly after 8 to check for shells,  Today I found more fig shells, conches, and picked up 3 small star fish.  Shells not as plentiful as yesterday but a different assortment to choose from.   Not as many dead fish because the Red Tide seems to be fading.  Pictures of the beach show no one here this morning but a hungry gull:

After my walk I prepared a brunch of eggs and sausage with sliced tomatoes served with toast and grapefruit.  We spent some of the afternoon at the beach but it was cool and windy so we were bundled up against the wind.   Al sat with his back to the sun and wind.  Only a few birds braved the windy shore to feed.

After an hour or so we walked over to the bay to find only a few
White Pelicans today and some Willets and Brown Pelicans.

Tonight I made Jambalaya with Andouille Sausage and Shrimp  with rice served with a salad.
