Day 20 on Captiva

This morning we took a walk on the Boardwalk and Indigo Trail near the entrance to the Ding Darling National Wildlife Drive.   As we walked onto the boardwalk off the road, we found a DDWR Volunteer pointing out a nest of a Screech Owl in a tree.....the Owl would have been hard to spot without someone pointing him out.  I managed to catch him with one eye open as he slept in the hollowed out tree.

On the observation dock on the Indigo Trail,  we saw many Ibis in the trees over the waterway.
I filmed a video to show as many of the birds that I could.

There was a lot of traffic today at DDNWR...we made a quick visit to the education center checking out  the current photo exhibit  and looking at the contest winners.  Made a stop in the gift shop and headed back for lunch on the porch.   I made BLT's with chips which we enjoyed.

Out to the beach for a couple hours and then to Lazy Flamingo for an early dinner.  We shared a dozen fresh oysters on the half shell and dinner of Grouper Basket with Fries and appetizer of Peel n Eat Shrimp.
